Dynacs Engineering Company Inc., the Engineering Development Contract (EDC) contractor, for the NASA Engineering Development Directorate at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is seeking sources for laser ordnance ignition systems and components for development of a Laser Ordnance Ignition Test Bed at KSC. This test bed will support the design and testing of future Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems. Typical items of interest for this test bed include vendor s normal product lines for laser firing units, fiber optic cabling with connectors, and laser igniters. Auxiliary items of interest include firing unit test sets, igniter simulators, and explosion proof housings for laser firings of live ordnance. Equipment with build in self-health checks to verify firing source and ignition optics circuit integrity is of particular interest. Companies interested in providing any or all of these items are requested to indicate their areas of interest and provide product information to the Dynacs Procurement Office.This is not a Request for Proposal. Dynacs is only seeking interested sources at this time. Companies with previous NASA or Department of Defense (DOD) applications are most desirable.
