The work includes but is not limited to driving steel piles, installing new pile guides and miscellaneous associated work. A one-time site visit is scheduled for 10 March 1999 for which advance reservations are required. Further information will be available in the RFQ. This Request for Quotations is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small business participation. It is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable SIC Code is 1629. Bid packages will be available on or about 1 March 1999 at a non-refundable charge of $15. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
