The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for YR-50, Living Barge Repair. The work must be performed at a commercial dry-dock within the Puget Sound, Washington area. This area may be further limited in the solicitation. The general scope of the contract is to replace all hull plates from one (1) foot above wind and water line, install doubler plate 18 inches high, and cover the entire bottom on both skegs. The barge is to be picked up and returned to the Government pier at the Naval Reserve Center, located in Tacoma, WA. The period of performance of the contract shall be from 05 Apr 99 through 09 Jul 99. The contract will be a firm fixed price service contract, with a Time and Material component for unexpected repairs. The acquisition will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. The RFP will be issued on or about 26 Feb 99 with a 30 day closing. All responsible sources may submit an offer/bid which shall be considered by FISC Puget Sound.
