The project consists of the design and construction of an approximately 2100 square meter physical fitness center for Fort Eustis, Virginia. This is to include, but not limited to structure, foundation, landscaping, utilities, communications, signage, HVAC, electrical systems, parking upgrades, etc. The site location, existing utilities and roads are shown on site drawings as listed in Attachment B and contained under separate cover. The building shall be of good quality construction and defined as a Type II building in accordance with the latest edition of the Uniform Building Code, based on utilization. No asbestos or lead containing materials shall be used in the building. The center will be constructed on an abandoned sand pool site. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $4,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Duration of the project is 540 calendar days. A preproposal conference is anticipated on this project: date and time will be forthcoming.
