This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation number is F4416-99-T1086. Offerors must comply with all instructions in FAR 52.212-1 with submittal of their offer and provide all information. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The Standards Industrial Classification Number is 7217 and the Business Size Standard is $3.5 million. The proposed contract action here is a small business set aside. Performance of contract will be at military family housing in Landover,MD. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial items", FAR 52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items", FAR 52.228, "Insurance -- Work on a Government Installation". Contract award will be based upon Price and Past Performance. DESCRIPTION: Provide carpet cleaning services in accordance with the following Statement of Work: Furnish all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and personnel necessary to clean carpets free of all debris, stains and odors in an estimated 817 occupied/unoccupied military family housing units (occupancy rate is expected to be 90%). The estimated Square Footage is as follows: Line item (0001) 237 2-Bedroom units with approximately 800 Sq. Ft. per unit. Line item (0002) 450 3-Bedroom units with approximately 640 Sq. Ft. per unit. Line item (0003) 130 4-Bedroom units with approximately 750 Sq. Ft. per unit. Performance to commence 15 days after the award during the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding federal holidays, with completion to be accomplished by 30 September 1999.
