(C0) The U.S. Geological Survey intends to issue a solicitation on a
non-competitive basis for a procurement with the National History
Development Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for creation and
display of a major educational exhibit on geology that will advertise
the USGS to the American public. Award of the contract requires the
Contractor to display experience in geologic exhibit design and
creation and a record of touring paleontological exhibitions that have
attracted at least 250 thousand participants per venue. It is intended
that this effort will involve cost shring on behalf of the contractor
of approximately 50%. The Contractor must also guarantee that the
exhibit will be displayed in at least five venues over 5 to 10 years
with the exhibit reaching an audience of at least 1.25 million people.
The Contractor will pay for transport, assembly and disassembly of the
exhibit for each venue. The Contractor must also guarantee that a
percentage of the income from the exhibit, be directed toward
maintenance of the exhibit and preparation of new exhibits. Firms who
believe they can provide the required products and services are invited
to submit an affirmative response within 45 day of the publication date
of this notice in accordance with Note 22. Interested parties may
respond with information on their capabilities and ability to meet the
USGS requirements. All such responses will be evaluated in accordance
with their demonstrated ability to meet the above mandatory
requirements. This notice is for informational purposes only. REQUEST
