The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism intends to negotiate a one year contract (with three Option Years) with the Association for Health Services Research (AHSR) for a project entitled "Health Services Research Conference Support." The proposed contract will provide partial support to AHSR for planning, developing, and convening between one and four annual national conferences on Health Services Research. Authority: 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contractor is the only responsible source conducting this conference, and so is uniquely qualified to perform this requirement. Inquiries must be made in writing; telephone inquiries are unacceptable. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the Contracting Officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
