REQUEST FOR INFORMATION This is a Request for Information (RFI) and Sources. The 88 Communications Group (CG), Wright-Patterson AFB OH anticipates hardware maintenance for approximately eleven hundred (1100) notebook/laptop personal computers (PCs). Maintenance would be for quick (5 working days) diagnosis and repair of government-owned notebook/laptops on a per call basis. The current list of manufacturer/types of 486 and Pentium technology is as follows (estimated quantities follow each in parenthesis): Austin (45), ARM (8), Advanced Memory Systems (16), Altima (2), Apple (Powerbooks) (7), Atlantic Research (4), AT&T (Safari) (29), Compaq (30), Dauphin (58), DEC (7), Dell (134), Digital Group (30), Easydata (18), EPS (18), Ergo (4), Expotech (2), Gateway (47), Hughes (7), IBM (Thinkpads) (103), Jetta (4), Keydata (7), Micron (18), NEC (252), Northgate (4). Notebook (5), Panasonic (24), Packard-Bell (2), Swan (29), Texas Instrument (40), Toshiba (30), Ultra (8), Versa (8), Winbook (20), Zen! ith (26). At this time, the 88 CG is assessing the feasibility of contracting with one source for notebook/laptop repair and maintenance. This request in no way obligates the government to future contracting proposals from industry to satisfy this requirement. Capabilities package: Interested firms should submit information that outlines their experience and capabilities in providing the above services. Additionally, the package should include information relative to current government-wide agency contracts (GWACs) that the firm may hold that can satisfy the government requirements as well as the firms published prices.
