This project provides for Repair of above ground vertical 55,000 barrel fuel bulk storage tank and containment basin. Work on tank includes repair to dented cylindrical shell, cracked roof, loose columns, corrosion pitted bottom plates and torn-loose stairway and railing. The cylindrical shells shall be reinforced and proper water draining facilities provided. Tank shall have interior epoxy coating of bottom and first 4 feet of cylindrical wall and exterior protective coating. Work on basin includes removal of contaminated soil, grading, restoring of dikes and placing of a liquid tight lining. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Magnitude: $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000. The anticipated performance period is between July 1999 through July 2000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The summer at Thule Air Base is extremely short and shipment of materials can only take place in June/July. Special Note: All discussion leading to contract award shall take place at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy of the United States of America, Copenhagen, Denmark.
