These instruments are used for evaluating the amount and velocity of water at one or more points in a flowing river/stream at a particular moment in time. These meters are internationally known as a Price-type AA current meter and is often referred to as a vertical axis, cup, or vane-type meter. These meters must be manufactured in accordance with precise design specifications to ensure interchangeability with existing spare parts. Ten first article test units shall be required to be delivered within 120 days of contract award. An additional 140 shall be due within 120 days after successful completion of the first article test, with the remaining 150 units due within 200 days of the completion of the acceptance test.
