La Roche, Contract Administrator (202) 606-6025 For Information Purposes Only -- BLS is conducting a market research to arrive at the most suitable approach to acquiring, distributing and supporting preventive and remedial maintenance parts, software, supplies and related services to maintain operate and upgrade the BLS computing network under the guidance and direction of the Director of Technology and Computing Service. The offeror shall provide parts for PC's, Servers, LANS and WANS and shall be a qualified authorized reseller with a certain level of certification for 3COM, COMPAQ,(servers) SUN, DELL (pc's) and HEWLETT PACKARD (laser printers) when needed or equivalent. This manufactures certification shall enable the offeror to purchase, resell, or service the various product lines and provide the offeror with access to advanced technical support, advance notification of product and end-of-life, expedited product and parts shipment (1-3 days)demonstration equipment and training. The offeror shall provide parts in a timely manner with immediate shipment when specified and shall provide a summary monthly report of all parts used. Information Technology Scheduled firms may submit documentation a letter of interest and capability along with brochurs and/or other descriptive literature for consideration within 15 days of this advertisement. Non-Information Technology Scheduled firms will also be considered but, only if responding with clear and convincing documentation that it is more advantageous to the government price and other factors considered.
