Yourich, Contracting Officer, (256) 876-2417 17. The Contractor shall provide Interim Contractor Support (ICS) for the Improved Master Control Processor Unit (IMCPU). The contractor shall develop, implement, and manage the IMCPU ICS program. Data developed in support of this effort will assist in determining long term testing, repair and repair parts, spares, technical data, and other support requirements for the IMCPU program. The period of performance for this effort is 31 March 1999 through 31 October 1999 with two options, each one for an additional 3 month period, extending the total period of performance through 30 March 2000. Authority and Justification for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for services and supplies which cannot be obtained through full and open competition because only one responsible source is capable of satisfying the Agency's requirements, FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is Honeywell, Incorporated, Defense Avionics Systems, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87113-2227, theonly known source capable of performing this work in the timeframe required to satisfy the Army's minimum needs.
