Authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. Boeing Defense and Space Group, Helicopter Division, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the prime manufacturer of the CH-47D Transmission, Engine is the only known contractor that has the special tooling/test equipment required to overhaul/modify the Transmission, Engine. Government Furnished Equipment or special tooling/test equipment will not be provided. Firms that can provide the overhaul/modification described above are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation. Overhaul/modification shall be performed in accordance with Depot Maintenance Work Requirement 55-1615-323 dated 31 Dec 1986 including changes 1 thru 9. This requirement is currently unfunded.
