Navy's Chief of Naval Education and Training (CNET) has authorized the conduct of Commercial Activities(C/A) '10 and Under Studies' at its various field locations throughout the US for Administrative support services. The work encompasses the handling of office correspondence, mail room operations, word processing services, report management and control, directives review service and miscellaneous other administrative support functions at each of these field activities. Workload and performance work statements being generated will be used in the cost comparison and are expected to be available approximately 1 March 1999. As each becomes available, this Contracting Office, FISC NORVA, Detachment Philadelphia, may forward these to interested sources who wish to submit price quotations for consideration in the cost comparison. The decisions at each activity to retain in-house or to outsource will be made on the basis of information submitted by interested partiesas well as that gathered from other sources. In the event it is found to be advantageous for the Navy to outsource the work at any of the sites, formal solicitations will be issued to the interested firms who respond to this sources sought synopsis. Approximately 34 Studies are anticipated. Of these, 22 sites are studying work performed by 1 to 7 persons (small) and 12 sites are studying work performed by 8 to 14 persons (large) for a total of approximately 246 civilian/military billets. All of these studies will include in each case less than 10 civilian employees, the balance being military members.
