The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract, to Raytheon Aircraft Company for the procurement of 35 AQM-37C Aerial Targets. The requirements to be purchased under the basic contract include approximately 35 unfueled targets, extended performance kits, dual destruct kits, passive flight kits, augmentation kits, transponder/installation kits, system safety program, and quality assurance program. Planned provision items include, but are not limited to: spare parts, repair parts, support equipment, and contractor engineering/technical manuals, training, and contractor engineering/technical support services. Raytheon is the sole designer, developer, and sole producer of the AQM-37 Supersonic Target, and as such, is the only source with the technical expertise and required data to meet the government needs.
