bryantd@tacom.army.mil. The United States Tank-Automotive and Armaments
Command (TACOM) is seeking to locate track sources for PM Crusader and
PM Abrams that have off-the-shelf / demonstrated 5000 mile durability
combat vehicle track. PM Crusader and PM Abrams are investigating to
see if any 25" width track, capable of supporting a maximum vehicle
weight of 70 U.S. tons, has demonstrated a 5000 mile durability at or
above 65.6 US tons. The track and pads should have run/tested to not
exceed 20% track shoe replacement and 40% track pad replacement before
going 5000 miles at or above 65.6 US tons. The overall mileage
scenario is the following: 21% paved road, 45% gravel road, 17% level
cross-country and 17% hilly cross-country. This request is made with
the understanding that these requirements are subject to change at any
time, are in no way binding to the Government, and are not to be
considered final requirements. These are furnished for informational
purposes only with the understanding that the Government is under no
obligation of any kind to proceed with an acquisition in any way
related to the data set forth in this article. The Government is not
requesting any potential suppliers of the subject item to incur any
expense of any kind in connection with their review of this item, nor
will any written response requested herein constitute services or any
other basis upon which to see payment, reimbursement, or consideration
from the Government. This market survey is not intended as a
solicitation of a proposal and any submission of an unsolicited
proposal based on this enclosure will not be given consideration. The
