Medical Center, Danville, IL is requesting offers for a "Windows-based
NT Digital Dictation System" with interface capability to VA's
transcription production and document distribution system, which shall
provide and allow for a fully automated, event-enabled electronic
medical record workflow environment as well as enhanced
transcriptionist productivity. All items under this procurement must
currently be able to support Year 2000 compliance and readily on the
open market. Offeror must provide a Windows NT server 4.x, ODBC and SQL
compliant database with a minimum of 250 redundant voice storage hours
with 16 universal ports, one 16 port cabinet, interface to allow
transfer of data to the transcription production and document
distribution system, user interface software, seven transcribe
stations, and other requirements as stated in the solicitation.
Hardware, software, and services are to be provided approximately May
1, 1999 through April 30, 2000 with options to extend the contract for
FOUR additional years or through April 30, 2004. Standard Industrial
Code No. 3579 applies to this procurement. This is an UNRESTRICTED
PROCUREMENT (not set-aside for small business). However, a business is
considered small if it has no more than 500 employees. Solicitation
