TheGeneral Electric Company is the designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 F414 aircraft engine and as such, the only firm currently possessing the requisite technical knowledge and expertise, facilities, tooling, and special test equipment necessary to perform these efforts within the required timeframe.
