Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement for the procurement of
OPEVAL Interim Depot Maintenance Support for F/A-18 F414 Engines LRIP
II/III. Navair intends to negotiatie a firm fixed price modification
under Contract N00019-97-C-0114. TheGeneral Electric Company is the
designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 F414 aircraft
engine and as such, the only firm currently possessing the requisite
technical knowledge and expertise, facilities, tooling, and special
test equipment necessary to perform these efforts within the required
