58 -- COMPUTERIZED TOUCH SCREEN TELEPHONE SYSTEM DUE 031999 POC Samuel Thompson, (334) 953-4291 fax (334) 953-2198 Sources sought to provide a computerized touch screen telephone system. The system will be located and used at the Command Post Operations, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery, Alabama. The requirements are listed below. At a minimum the system must be user friendly and provide the following characteristics: expandable, upgradeable and dependable, phone patch capabilities (a) phone line to hot line, (b) hot line to hot line, (c) phone line to phone line, (d) multiple lines simultaneously patched together, (e) radio to phone line, (f) multiple separate patches simultaneously, capability of one mainframe being used by multiple geographical locations, conference call placed to multiple phone numbers and or hot lines at the touch of one button, control alarm systems, control cameras, control base siren system, control base giant voice system, control door buzzer, capable of using handset or headset both with built in push to talk (PTT) switches, availability of (PTT) footswitch, color monitor fitted with a touch sensitive overlay, caller identification, redial last number, maintenance administrative and operator training, dial up modem for remote diagnostics and system parameter changes, 24-hour technical support for the life of the product, malicious call hold or similar call tracing feature, and maintenance agreement to cover any required repairs or replacement of parts. Any vendor possessing the necessary expertise and resources is invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience (including current customer contact names and phone numbers), and other pertinent data (including GSA contract information) within 30 calendar days from the date of this publication. Any literature, or information submitted as a response to this notice, must contain enough information attesting to the capability of the product offered to meet Command Post Operation's requirements. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. Receipt of responses will not be acknowledged. Information submitted will be used to broaden Command Post Operation's awareness of available products/solutions.
