This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared per the format in Subpart 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number for this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is R6-21-99-08. The following Provisions and Clauses are incorporated into this RFQ by reference & are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10, December 18, 1998. No addenda apply to these Provisions and Clauses. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. No additional FAR clauses apply. The requirement is Set-Aside for Small Businesses. SIC 3441, 500 employees. Specifications: Contractor shall furnish a heavy duty steel portable bridge capable of carrying U-80 and L-90 standard vehicle loading configurations for a 40-foot span. Girders and diaphragms to be made of weathering steel. The bridge shall have a timber plank wearing surface on the deck. Allowable deflection of bridge girders to be L/300. Upon final installation (by the Forest Service or others), the bridge shall accommodate a 22-foot wide roadway. The bridge shall be delivered to the Colville National Forest, 765 South Main, Colville, Washington 99114, by June 14, 1999. Quoters shall provide an alternate quote for delivering the bridge directly to the job site. The job site is on the Sullivan Lake Ranger District at NE 1/4, SEC 34, T39N, R43E. For the alternative quote, the bridge would be off-loaded using the timber sale road construction Contractor's equipment. The delivery date for the alternative quote is negotiable and dependent on the site readiness. Offerors shall provide a phamplet and shall state theirstandard warranty they offer in this response to the RFQ. Award will be based on price and other factors which include the warranty and the product. This RFQ closes at 4:00 P.M. on March 22, 1999.
