date stated in the notice of 2/11/1999 for the BAA entitled "Novel
Technologies for Noninvasive Detection, Diagnosis and Treatment of
Cancer" is changed from MAY 15, 1999 to APRIL 15, 1999. Following is
the text of the original notice. The Unconventional Innovations Program
of the National Cancer Institue (NCI)is interested in receiving
proposals under a Broad Agency Announcement (N01-CM-97065-32) entitled
"Novel Technologies for Noninvasive Detection, Diagnosis and Treatment
of Cancer." The NCI is specifically soliciting projects to develop
technology systems or systems components that will enable the sensing
of defined signatures of different cancerous and precancerous cell
types or their associated microenvironment in the body in a way that is
highly sensitive and specific, yet non-intrusive. The highest priority
is for systems that can either support or provide a seamless interface
between sensing/detection and intervention. The detailed Broad Agency

for submission of proposals and evaluation criteria. Questions
