Administration (NASA) is releasing a Draft Announcement of Opportunity
(AO) for community comment (on or about February 16, 1999) entitled
Outer Planets Program Including Europa Orbiter, Pluto-Kuiper Express,
and Solar Probe. Comments will be due three weeks after the release of
the Draft AO and will solicit proposals for investigations that
require the development of space flight instruments on the three
different missions. In addition, the AO will solicit scientific
participation as a member of facility science teams for the Europa
Orbiter mission. Proposal due dates will be staggered through 1999 and
early 2000. Participation is open to all categories of organizations,
foreign and domestic, including industry, educational institutions,
nonprofit organizations, NASA centers, and other Government agencies.
NASA welcomes comments on the Draft AO, which will be available on or
about February 16, 1999, via the World Wide Web site:
