synopsis -- NOT A NOTICE OF RFP ISSUANCE. No solicitation currently
exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) at Goddard Space
Flight Center (GSFC) is seeking firms that provide full service trash
and debris removal, and recycling services. The prospective contractor
shall furnish all labor, material, permits, fees and equipment
necessary to remove trash and/or debris and dispose of it in a sanitary
landfill. In addition, the contractor will be required to pick up and
transport recyclable materials to a bonafide recycling facility and
shall share any proceeds there from. Contractor shall also provide the
necessary supervision for the performance of Trash Removal and
Recycling Services. The period of performance for these sought services
is approximately five years (base year with four option years).
Responding offerors must also indicate if they have any past or present
experience in waste management, including recycling. Interested
offerors having the required specialized capabilities to provide all of
the above mentioned requirements should respond to this notice.
Offerors are requested to submit a brief capability statement of eight
(8) pages or less that outlines and substantiates the firm's
capabilities to perform all aspects of the efforts described herein.
Each offeror at a minimum should provide 1) a written confirmation that
respondent has reviewed the scope of work described above, 2) a general
description of relevant capabilities that the company offers, 3)
offeror must indicate its business size and type (large, small, 8(a),
etc.), 4) at least one customer reference from similar work that the
company has successfully completed. If subcontractors or consultants
are to be used, identify the areas of outside expertise required and
provided anticipated percentage of effort to be subcontracted in each
area. If the offeror is unable or unwilling to provide any of the above
listed functions (or deems the function unnecessary), this must be so
indicated in the response. Remember the capability package should be as
brief and concise as possible while clearly demonstrating the ability
to perform the listed functions above. RESPONSES MUST BE RECEIVED IN
