E-MAIL: click here, vilells@onr.navy.mil. The Office of Naval Research
intends to negotiate on a sole source basis firm-fixed price purchase
orders with Lockheed Martin Government Electronics Systems, Northrop
Grumman Corporation, Boeing Defense and Space Group, and Raytheon
Systems Comany for support of the Advanced Multifunction RF System
(AMRFS) Steering Committee. The AMRFS Steering Committee is the
oversight panel for the general AMRFS effort. The panel will be made up
of Government and Contractor personnel and the above Contractor's have
been chosen as the Contractor representatives on the panel. The
general duties of the panel members are to ensure that the program
remains on schedule, milestones are being completed, new technology
information is available to the system designers, there are no
"show-stoppers" in the program, nothing is overlooked that could
benefit the program, interfaces and interface requirements are defined,
and AMRFS is ready for concept demonstration as scheduled. The four
contractors named above were chosen because they have a good working
knowledge of the AMRFS program and have been or are involved in AMRFS
technology studies. They are familiar with the Open System Architecture
and the Radar, Electronic Warfare (EW) which includes Electronic
Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA), and Communications
Multifunction Aperture Requirements. The period of performance will be
9 months.***** Posted 02/18/99 (W-SN299526). (0049) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0077 19990222\R-0008.SOL)
