ehill/r4_boise@fs.fed.us. The project consists of reclamation of the
site processing facilities, including the heap leach pad and fluid
management system. The contractor will be required to maintain and
operate the existing fluid management system in accordance with the
closure strategy. Reclamation of the heap leach facility includes, but
is not limited to, chemical and physical stabilization of the process
ponds, processing facilities, and the heap leach pad. The existing
fluid system must be maintained and kept in operation until it is no
longer needed for the reclamation project. All process solutions must
be contained and the facility must be monitored and sampled according
to the existing state permits. The contractor will be required to
submit a strategy for the closure and chemical stabilization of the
heap leach pad and all solutions in accordance with state and federal
regulations and permits. All pond solids, liners, piping process
buildings and equipment must be characterized and disposed of properly.
Approx. 1200 cubic yards of hydrocarbon contaminated soil must be
remediated. The goal is to meet the requirements of the State of
Nevada, Nevada Div. of Environmental Protection regulations (NAC
445A.429 and .430) and applicable Forest Service (FS) and Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) regulations. Physical reclamation includes, but
is not limited to, placement of soil and/or growth medium, and seeding
of the heap leach facility, three process ponds, one overflow pond,
process building and all disturbed areas within the site boundaries.
The project area is approx. 50 acres. Contact Loretta Cartner at (775)

proposal to complete this work. We anticipate the proposals will be due
3/18/99, and the successful offeror will be required to begin work, at
a minimum the fluid management portion of this project, on 4/6/99.
Contract time is 210 calendar days. A prebid meeting is scheduled for
3/9/99 at 1:00 p.m. at the BLM Nevada State Office, 1340 Financial
Blvd., Reno, NV, in the Mt. Rose Room. Please call Mary Beth Marks at
(775) 778-0223 on or after 3/5/99 to confirm that the prebid meeting
has not been cancelled. This est. price is between $500,000 and
