The St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers, intends to issue an outside the scope supplemental agreement with Luhr Bros., Inc., Contract No. DACW43-99-C-0404. This is a construction contract for repairs to dikes and revetments along the Mississippi River (Grand Tower Reach, MRM 90-50). The proposed modification (outside the scope) is to include work in the Santa Fe chute (MRM 37L). The location of the additional work is in Alexander County, Illinois, approximately 37 river miles upstream of the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers. The additional work consists of approximately 2,500 lin. ft. of revetment construction and 750 lin. ft. of dike construction (three new dikes) in Santa Fe chute, a side channel of the Mississippi River.
