The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for 2 each, 02N2 Producer Plants in accordance with MIL-P-24334C (Revised). The plants will be installed on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN70) and the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN71). Delivery of both plants are required no later than 7 months after award. The plant for CVN71 will be delivered to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard while the plant for CVN70 will be delivered to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The acquisition will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. A best value evaluation will be conducted. The RFP will be issued on or about 12 March 1999, with a 30 day closing. This synopsis additionally cancels IDIQ solicitation N00406-98-R-5007, for up to 5 each 02N2 plants, originally issued on 15 Dec 1997 and put on indefinite hold effective 20 Jan 1998. The units identified under that solicitation will be acquired via individual contracts. Notes 1 and 26 apply.
