SYNOPSIS: NSN: 3120-01-090-6519, P/N: 70209-07901-102 for a quantity of 201 each, applicable to the UH-60 Aircraft. F.O.B. Destination with deliveries to Texarkana. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified sources require acquisition of the part from the approved sources. The approved sources retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically abailable to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. This procurement is currently restrictedto Approved Sources. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item(s) described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer, that they may be permitted to become an approved source once they have met source approval requirements, which will permit their participation in the current or future solicitations. The approved sources are Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, CT, Chicago Rawhide Mfg. Co., Elgin, IL and Apex Mfg. Co. Inc., N. Hollywood, CA.
