Officer: Ms. Gail West 1. CONTRACT INFORMATION: Under the authority of
FAR 6.302-1 the Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, intends to award
a sole source modification to Ecology & Environment, Inc. to perform
the services described below. If an AE is interested and believes they
are capable of performing this work, they are invited to submit their
letter of interest. All responders are advised that this project may
be cancelled or revised at any time during the solicitation,
evaluation, negotiation and final award. Award is anticipated for Apr
99. 2. PROJECT INFORMATION: a. Fort Gordon, Georgia: Ecology and
Environment, Inc. (E&E) has prepared a facility-wide RCRA Facility
Investigation (RFI) Workplan for Fort Gordon, Georgia under Indefinite
Delivery AE Contract Number DACW41-94-D-9001, Delivery Order
No.CV01/0050. E&E will provide field investigation, chemical
analytical, and report preparation services to complete the remaining
RFI level work at sites listed in the facility-wide RFI Workplan. These
sites wereinvestigated in a Phase I RFI by E&E. Services include
site-specific and installation-wide geologic, hydrogeologic, and
archival/historical investigations, laboratory and field analysis and
investigative derived waste (IDW) management and disposal. and b. Fort
Jackson, South Carolina: Ecology and Environment, Inc. (E&E) has
conducted Phase I, RCRA Facility Investigations (RFIs) at over 30 Solid
Waste Management Units (SWMUs) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina under
Indefinite Delivery AE Contract Numbers DACW41-94-D-9001 and
DACA21-93-D-0034. E&E will provide field investigation, chemical
analytical, and report preparation services to complete subsequent
Phase 2, RFI level work at these sites. Services include site-specific
and installation-wide geologic, hydrogeologic, and archival/historical
investigations, laboratory and field analysis and investigative derived
waste (IDW) management and disposal. Letters of interest from
responding firms MUST be received at this address: U.S. Army Engineer

99506-0898 (Physical Address: Bluff & Plum Streets, Building 21-700 (Rm
250), Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506-0898) not later than COB (4:00 pm Alaska
time) on the 30th day from the date of this announcement. If the 45th
day is a Saturday, Sunday, or Federal holiday, the deadline is the
close of business of the next business day. Any letters received after
this date cannot be considered. No additional information shall be
provided, and no faxed letters shall be accepted. Solicitation packages
are not provided. A determination by the Government not to compete the
requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the
