NASA/LeRC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for Exhibit Designs and Fabrication for the NASA Lewis Research Center, and other Government Agencies if requested. The objective of this RFO is to supply exhibit design, fabrication, refabrication, and repair services. Other services required shall be to store and ship exhibits to and from selected sites. On specific exhibits, detailed designs shall be provided for fabrication. A requirement to supply the inventory of materials and paint selection shall be provided to designated Government designers to select from. Materials in support of specific exhibits may be furnished for use. The capability to perform exhibit designs, with the involvement of Government personnel for technical and scientific input for specific tasks. (examples of possible tasks: OSHKOSH, Aerogallery, Educations Exhibits, refabricationss). Multiple awards are anticipated. Specific required tasks shall be negotiated after contract award. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are 7389 and $5M, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO-C9. The provisions and clauses in the RFO and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-7. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about March 8, 1999 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about April 8, 1999. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
