Contracting Officer, (202) 927-0073 The U.S. Customs Service (USCS),
Air Interdiction Division, operates approximately 110 specially
equipped aircract out of 20 separate locations to interdict contraband
being illegally imported into the United States of America. The pilots
of these aircraft require an Initial and an annual Recurrent flight
training course of instruction in each of the various aircraft they
fly. A contract is being sought to provide this required training for
the commercial helicopters operated by USCS. The training shall include
ground school instruction on aircraft systems and other related
subjects as well as actual aircraft flight training to include normal
and emergency procedures, mountain flying techniques, the issuance of
a Flight Review and Instrument Proiciency Check along with other
related items. The requirement is an IDIQ contract with FP delivery
orders to cover a base period and four one year option periods. Option
periods will be evaluated at the time of award. RFP No. CS-99-036 is
to be issued on or about April 1, 1999. All interested offerors are
