construction of a new two story dormitory building of approximately
29,000 square feet, at the Albuquerque Job Corps Center in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. The project will also consist of masonry construction with
wood roof trusses, mechanical heating and ventilation systems, and
electrical systems . The work includes alterations to an existing
irrigation system and connection to existing utilities. Demolition of
existing pavement and grading will be required. The building will be
sprinkled for fire protection. Major products include concrete masonry,
precast structural concrete planks, steel studs, gypsum board,
composition shingles, aluminum windows, thermal glazing, solid core
wood doors, metal frames, paint, carpet, resilient flooring, wood
casework, and commercial hardware. The grounds will be landscaped and
lighted. The estimated completion time is 420 calendar days. The
estimated cost range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Plans and
specifications will be available on or about April 20, 1999, ONLY from
the Office of Weller Architects, 401 Alvarado Drive S.E., Suite D,
Albuquerque, New Mexico 87108. Contact Mr. Jack Logan at (505) 255-8270

not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and
specifications shall only be directed to the A/E firm listed above to
ensure proper handling of requests. All requests must be in writing and
a $100.00 bid deposit is required which is refundable when plans and
specifications are returned in good condition. The bid deposit must be
in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or money order and
made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and submitted to Weller
Architects at the time of request. All requests will be answered on a
first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For
requests made after the supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not
to exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be
determined by the Contracting Officer) plus a shipping charge based on
individual requests (if applicable) will be required in order to
obtain the IFB documents. A Pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled for May 6,
1999, at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Albuquerque Job Corps Center.
Bid-opening date is May 25, 1999 at 1:00 p.m. local time at the
Architect/Engineering office mentioned above. This is a 100% Small
Business Set-Aside Acquisition. The Standard Industrial Classification
(SIC) Code for this acquisition is 1522 with a Size Standard of $17.0
