This is a firm-fixed price contract with SIC code of 1629. This
acquisition is 100% small business set aside and only responses from
small business concerns will be considered. The magnitude of
construction is between $1 Million and $5 Million and the construction
period is 365 days. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The
Las Cruces Flood Control Project is located in the NW area of Las
Cruces within an urban area. The project consists of approximately
2,100 feet of concrete "U" channel, approximately 2,100 feet of 36-inch
diameter irrigation RCP, approximately 2,300 feet of 3-foot x 3-foot
irrigation concrete box culvert and two earthen basins, Gallagher Basin
and Willoughby Basin, with an interconnecting channel. Gallagher Basin
consists of construction of an earthen embankment, approximately 13
feet in height, 141 acre feet volume, 2,600 feet long, with 400-foot
wide concrete spillway. A new outlet works system with intake tower,
gatewell structure, 36-inch diameter conduit (cast-in-place & RCP),
conveys flow to existing City of Las Cruces drain. Willoughby Basin
consists of construction of an earthen embankment, approximately
11-feet in height, 27 acre feet volume, 1,500 feet long with 30-foot
wide concrete spillway. A new outlet works system with intake tower,
gatewell structure, 36-inch diameter conduit (cast-in-place & RCP)
conveys flow to the existing City of Las Cruces storm drain. Gallagher
and Willoughby Basins will contain the 100-year storm. Questions of a

opening on or about April 13, 1999. The cost of plans and
specifications is $90.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Division, 4101 Jefferson
Plaza, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109-3435. For further information on order
