Description: This announcement is for information purposes only to seek potential sources and is not a request for proposal nor an invitation for bid. This Source Sought Notice is initiated to announce Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) anticipates issuing a Firm Fixed Price Idefinite Quantity solicitation for approximately 900 electrical connnectors of various types, identified by the federal supply class 5935. The length of the contract will be for one year and the Government may extend the term of the contract for 4 periods of 1 year. Exercise of the options will be at the discretion of the Contracting Officer and may be exercised on an individual line basis. This requirement's intent is to provide logistics support to the military services in order to maintain the highest state of weapon systems readiness. To facilitate performing this logistics support, new and innovative strategies are required to utilize shift to commercial practices techniques. Delivery orders will be issued electronically. All will be transmitted using ANSI X 12 standard transactions. Communication will be via a value added network with interconnectability with DSCC's current systems. Items will be required to be shipped within 48 hours. Please note that this is a Source Sought notice; therefore no solicitation is available at this time and no contract awards will be made as a result of this notice. This Sources Sought notice is being issued as a means to determine if and how many contractors possess the capability to support such an effort. Interested companies are encouraged to respond to this notice providing a brief summary of their capabilities and their expected ability to meet any or all of the requirements listed above.
