The Defense Supply Service -- Washington (DSSW), on behalf of the Air Force Studies and Analysis Agency (AFSAA), intends to award a contract to support AFSAA in it's mission of providing studies and analyses, modeling and simulation advice and expertise, and general analytic support for the USAF and DOD. Tasks to be accomplished under this contract are study execution support, software and database development, data production/management/reduction, model code modifications, project management, documentation, training, model configuration control and management, and system design and modernization. The contractor shall provide analytical and programming support to enhance the use of the current suite of models employed by AFSAA. This support shall require in-depth knowledge and expertise of all models currently in use and some legacy models to include CFAM, TAM, SUPPRESSOR, and SABSEL. In addition to model expertise, this contract requires expertise in advance Modeling and Simulation techniques, statistical analysis, computer programming, and V V & A methodologies. The contractor will require extensive knowledge of the Air Force's organizational structure, functional responsibilities, mission areas, data sources, tactics, and capabilities. The resulting contract will have a one-year base period and provisions for three one-year options. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, cost type, delivery order contract will be awarded.
