This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a written solicitaion will not be issued. This announcement/solicitation is issued as N62678-99-R-0114 and incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This acquisition is unrestricted and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7353. The Small Business Size Standard is $5,000,000. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN). CLIN 0001: (1) each, Wheel Loader, 644 John Deere/Caterpillar 938G or equivalent with 4.0 cubic yard minimum excavation bucket. Period of rental is 5 months. CLIN 0002: (2) each, Track Loader, Caterpillar 963B or equivalant with 3 cubic yard excavation bucket. Period of rental is 5 months. CLIN 0003: (2) each, 790 Trackhoe, John Deere/Caterpillar 332 or equivalent with 2.0 cubic yard minimum excavation bucket, with thumb and rigging padeye. Period of rental is 5 months. CLIN 0004: (1) each, Bulldozer, John Deere 850C/Caterpillar D6R or equivalent. Period of rental is 5 months. CLIN 0005: (1) each, 10,000# Retractable Forlift, Lull 1044/Caterpillar TH 103 or equivalent. Period of rental is 5 months. CLIN 0006 (1) each, Motor Grader, Caterpillar 12H or equivalent. Period of rental is 4 months. Statement of Work: 1. The delivery date for CLINS 0001 thru 0005 will be on or about March 26, 1999 and the delivery date for CLIN 0006 will be on or about April 26, 1999. 2. Offeror to provide unit price and total amount for each CLIN including delivery and pick up charges. 3. Location for delivery and pickup of equipment will be the Chicora Tank Farm located on Chicora Avenue in North Charleston, SC. 4. Equipment shall be equipped with enclosed cabs and air conditioning for CLIN's 0001, 0003 and 0006. 5. The buckets on each piece shall be straight edge with no teeth. 6. Response time for inoperable equipment shall be 6 hours from the time of notification. If the equipment can not be repaired/replaced within 24 hours, after the initial notification time, then the contractor shall pay to the Government the sum of $50.00 per hour to a maximum of $400.00 per day for each piece of equipment that is inoperable. 7. Offerors who quote an equivalent equipment should state beside that item, the make and model number of the equipment that you propose to provide.
