The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Sensis Corporation, 5793 Widewaters Parkway, DeWitt, New York to design and produce four (4) production level Theater Missile Defense System Exerciser (TMDSE) capable AN/TPS-59(V) 3 Radar Environmental Simulators (RES), support spares and eleven (11) AN/TPS-59 Transport Shelter modification kits. Options will also exist to procure up to eight (8) additional TMDSE capable AN/TPS-59(V) 3 RES systems as well as to upgrade the current prototype RES systems to a production level configuration. This effort will capitalize on the current Sensis engineered AN/TPS-59(V) 3 RES system, which was previously procured under Contract No. M67854-92-C-1069 in support of the AN/TPS(V) 3 development effort, and will be utilized in support of training and testing requirements for the production/fielded AN/TPS-59(V) 3 exercises. It is anticipated that the first unit will be delivered by no later than 15 months after contract award. All remaining units are expected to be delivered by no later than 24 months after contract award. Contract award is expected to take place during the 3rd quarter of Fiscal Year 1999.
