Williams, Contracting Officer, (256) 955-1187 Synopsis The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command plans to enter into sole source negotiations with Teledyne Brown Engineering, 300 Sparkman Drive, Huntsville, Alabama, 35807. The proposed action constitutes a non-competitive add-on modification of the existing sole source EADSIM contract, Number DASG60-97-C-0046, to increase the number of man-hours available under CLIN's 0001 and 0003 in order to complete the EADSIM software development requirements over the contract term. The modification would thus provide sufficient level of effort under CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0003 to support customer requirements through June 2000 (the original completion date under the reference contract DASG60-97-C-0046). The increased level of effort is non-severable from and integrated with the effort already under contract. This additional effort is deemed essential to have a seamless continuation of the current performance activities over the full, original, contract term in order to insure EADSIM's continued viability. The products of the contract are necessary for a successful simulation program and disruption of this support would lead to substantial schedule slippages and cost impacts.
