IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) and (iii), the Government intends to procure the following on a sole source basis from Fore Systems: 2 each FORE Sytems ASX-200BX/AC ATM switches with all associated software licenses (CLIP, PNNI, LANE), 4 each FORE Systems NM-4/155MMSCD network modules for use with the ASX-200BX ATM switches (OC-3 NetMods), 1 each FORE Systems 8106-01 Power Hub 8000 starter kit, ordered with the Power Hub is an OC-3 ATM up-link and 2 each 10 port 10BASE-FL switched Ethernet boards and a redundant PS. B-3 level maintenance for all of the above equipment. Award to any other source would result in duplication of costs that are not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements.
