Officer, 305-523-5075 The contractor will provide all labor, tools,
materials, equipment, facilities, supplies, transportation, quality
control, coordination, supervision, necessary to provide alterations
and renovations at the U.S. District Court, Southern District of
Florida, located at 301 North Miami Ave, Miami, Fl. The work will
include but not be limited to interior painting of new and existing
surfaces, electrical, mechanical, fire sprinkler work both new and to
modify existing, rough carpentry work, new partition work, insulation,
ceiling, carpeting, base, doors, hardware and cabinet/counters. There
will be some minor demolition work. The job site will be kept orderly
and clean. Due to court's proceedings, all work that generates noise,
has to be done prior to 9:00A.M. and/or after 6:00P.M, thus the
contractor may be permitted access to the work location from 7:00A.M.
to 11:00PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays. Contractor may
work on Saturdays provided that a 72 hours notification is given to the
Government. This work when completed will provide for the completion of
a new automation training area with two offices in an existing interior
space presently being used as a jury assembly area. All contractor's
employees (including subcontractors) assigned to work at the courthouse
complex are subject to a NCIC and local police records check prior to
be allowed to work. Any employee receiving an unfavorable clearance
will not be allowed at the courthouse complex. Upon request by the
contracting officer, the contractor shall provide all personal data
required, in order to conduct the security checks. All contractors are
required to be licensed and insured. Performance and Payment bonds may
be requested, as well as past performance for the last five years. The
request for quote (RFQ) may be issued on/about Mar 16, 1999. A site
visit is scheduled for Mar 26, 1999, at 9:00a.m. (subject to change).
Contractor's vehicle shall display the contractor's name such that it
is clearly visible. The standard industrial classification code is
1541. The size standard is $17.0M. The project may have government
furnished property (GFP). The estimated performance period is about 4
to 6 weeks. Estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $50,000.
