The U.S. Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ashbury International Group, Inc., 45595 Shepard Drive, Sterling, VA 20164-4409, for the purchase of eight (8) Part Number 664 725 Leica Vector 1500 Daes 7x42mm Binocular Laser Range Finders, with Reticle "Mil Dot" (PN 439832). F.O.B. Destination, Inspection, and Acceptances shall be at destination. Solicitation package is not available. This is a notice of intent to sole source and is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must submit clear and convincing documentation, including technical and pricing information. Only written responses will be accepted. Prospective offers must also provide information detailing past performance in providing similar or like services, for the past three years, at time of proposal submission. The Government anticipates an award date on or about March 8, 1999. Please note: Quotations submitted by fax will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U.S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street, NW, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: Kelly Curtin by 2:00 P.M., March 5, 1999.
