59 -- CONSOLIDATED AUTOMATED SUPPORT SYSTEM (CASS) IATS TPS DEVELOPMENT SOL N00019-99-R-1362 POC Amy Timmermann, Phone (301)757-6870 17. The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price contract with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO to procure Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Test Program Set (TPS) development for Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) presently supported on the Intermediate Avionics Test Set (IATS) in support of the F/A-18 aircraft. This requirement is for supplies for which the Navy does not own sufficient and accurate design data. The U.S. Navy intends to procure these CASS TPSs under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source. Items to be procured under the proposed contract include: one set of First Article Units; development tests and related data; technical, administrative, and financial data; Integrated Logistics Support Program and associated data; technical manuals; interim spare parts; and on-site verification and associated data. The contract will contain options for approximately thirty-four additional production units. Boeing is the sole designer and developer of the IATS and associated TPSs and is the only firm known to possess the experience and expertise to meet fleet requirements. See Note 22.
