FT., IN WESTERN AREA SOL 072976-99-A-0087 DUE 032699 POC Tom Carriere (303) 220-6538, Solicitation Information; or Jae Pak (303) 220-6541, Contracting Officer The U.S Postal Service, Denver Facilities Service Office, is soliciting qualification statements from contractors desiring to be placed on a prequalified list for new construction leased (NCL) of postal facilities in the Western Area states of Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming for a period of one (1) year. The Postal Service may extend the prequalification period to eighteen (18) months. NCL projects will generally range In building size from approximately 4,000 to 8,000 square feet. Smaller facilities may be included in this process. CURRENT NCL PREQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS MUST REAPPLY. NCL is a process in which the successful lessor/contractor completes the design of 100% (from approximately 70% design and specifications provided the USPS), and constructs the facility within the prescribed time-frame. The USPS will then enter into a long term lease with the lessor, usually for a period of twenty (20) years at a fixed annual rate, with two (2),five (5) year renewal options. Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria: (1) general construction experience and project management; (2) references; (3) architect/engineer team; (4) financial capability; and (5) company organization.
