PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The Iowa National Guard wishes to contract for the Add to and Alter Corrosion Control Facility for the Iowa Air National Gaurd Base located in Sioux City, Iowa. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542, with a size standard of $17,000,000.00. The successful contractors shall provide all materials, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete the work required for the combined construction. The work consists of four additions to an existing building and installation of a wash bay, bead blast bay, and new paint booth for washing and painting of jet fighter aircraft. Crafts involved include, but are not limited to the following: Mechanical, Electrical, Laborers, Carpenters, Masons, Equipment Operators, Pipefitters, Plumbers, Painters, Roofers, Sprinkler Filters, Floor Layers, Glaziers, and Insulators. The estimated construction period is 365 days. The estimated cost of the projectis between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The Invitation For Bid (IFB) Packet will be issued under solicitation number DAHA13-99-B-0003. Solicitations will be issued on or about 19 March 1999, with a bid opening date on or about 20 April 1999, 11:00a.m. (local time), at the Base Civil Engineers Office, Sioux City Air National Guard Base, Sioux City, Iowa.
