testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems and
equipment for facilities located within a 100 mile radius of the
Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. Site locations include, but are
not limited to Navy and non-Navy Government facilities such as
National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD, Walter Reed Army Medical
Center, Washington, D.C., Naval Station Anacostia (DC), Naval District
Washington (DC), Bellevue Housing Complex (DC), Naval Research
Laboratory (DC), Naval Observatory (DC), Naval Security Station (DC),
Marine Barricks-8th & I (DC), Henderson Hall (VA), Arlington Service
Center (VA), Naval Maritime Intelligence Center (MD), Naval Air
Facility Andrews (MD), David Taylor Research Center Carderock (MD), and
the Solomons Island Complex (MD). This will be a source selection
procurement for a combination firm fixed-price and indefinite quantity
contract that will include a base year and up to four option years.
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials,
supplies, administrative costs, parts, transportation, management,
supervision, and inventory required in accordance with manufacturer's
and national industrial standards for safe efficient operations. Award
will be based on best value (management, technical, and cost
considered). Selection criteria are: Relative Experience, Project
Staffing, Corporate Management Support, Past Performance: (1, Quality,
Workmanship, and Scheduling; 2, Safety and Health Information), and
Price. The Standard Industrial Code is 7349. The related Small Business
Size Standard is $12 Million. This procurement is 100% set-aside for
small business concerns. The date of issuance for the RFP solicitation
is on or about 15 March 1999. The cost for each set of plans and
specifications is $12.00 and is non-refundable. To obtain plans and
