The work of this project consists of maintenance and advance maintenance dredging of the 12-foot channel at the mouth of the Merrimack River at Newburyport Harbor, Newburyport, Massachusetts, to a depth of 15 feet with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The dredging of approximately 113,000 cubic yards of sand material shall be accomplished by hopper dredge. Dredged material shall be disposed of at a previously used, near shore, disposal site off the coast of Plum Island. The Estimated cost of the work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Work shall be completed within 45 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the New England District.
