A solicitation for Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation at the Tracy Maintenance Facility, Alameda County, Byron CA 94514, will be issued approximately 3/26/99 with a closing date of approximately 4/23/99. The task is to rehabilitate existing deteriorated asphalt pavements inside a secure Federal Government maintenance facility. Work will include removing over 100,000 square feet of 2-inch asphalt pavement and either disposing of or recycling the material. Compaction of subgrade materials as needed, compaction of 4-inch aggregate base materials, and then furnish and install over 100,000 square feet of 4-inch asphalt pavement in accordance with CAL-TRANS standard specifications will be required. Up to 15% recycled asphalt pavement is permitted. Support work includes all surveying/grade checking, mix design, material and density testing, and a complete Quality Control Program. Minor work includes reinforced concrete gutter replacement and drain culvert extension. Estimated value is between $100,000 and $500,000. A site visit will be held in April.
