The US Army, TACOM/ARDEC is seeking qualified small business firms who can respond to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the manufacture of Body Tube Assemblies and Tail Cones for the 81MM and 60MM IR Illuminating Cartridge. The contract quantity for the Body Tube Assembly is 10,700 81MM Body Tubes, 10,700 81MM Tail Cones and 740 60MM Body Tubes and 740 60MM Tail Cones. There are four (4) options for each item. Required first delivery date is estimated to be 7 to 9 months after contract award. Capability must include: 1) Capability to machine Steel Body Tubes and Adapters, and machine Aluminum Tail Cones. 2) Coat and Assemble/Pin together the Body Tube Assemblies and Tail Cone Assemblies.
