soliciting requests for proposals from qualified dealers/suppliers to
provide two floating docks with anchor systems and gangways for
courtesy boat docking and long term campground boat mooring.!! (ii)This
solicitation is considered a commercial item and FAR Part 12 Commercial
Item Contract with Firm Fixed Price will apply.!! (iii)This is
considered a full and open competitive procurement from qualified
dealers/suppliers under SIC 4493, Marinas.!! (iv)There will be two line
items: CLIN#0001 Floating Dock with Anchor System and Gangway located
at Medicine Creek campground in Montana which is accessed through the
Lovell, Wyoming Park entrance; CLIN#0002 Floating Dock with Anchor
System and Gangway located at Black Canyon campground in Montana,
accessed through Fort Smith, Montana Park entrance.!! (v)Boths dock
will be for courtesy boat docking and long term campground boat
mooring. The dock supplier must design and engineer the winch/anchor
systems to allow for seasonal movement of the dock, 500ft horizontally
and 60ft vertically.!! (vi)The Medicine Creek dock will have 30ft long
main module and 24ft long slips to accommodate up to nine 24ft boats
and one 30ft houseboat. It's length will be approx 90ft long and be
attached to an existing floating comfort station. The gangway will be
4ft wide x 40ft long and is supplied with a floating platform that will
also be attached to the floating comfort station. A bid additive will
also be considered for an additional (4) slips.!! (vii) The Black
Canyon dock will have 28ft long main module and 24ft long slips to
accomodate up to sixteen 24ft boats and one 56ft houseboat. It's length
will be approx 230ft long and be attached to an existing floating
comfort station on one end. The gangway will be 4ft wide x 40ft and
supplied with a floating platform that will also be attached to the
floating comfort station. A bid additive will also be considered for an
additional (2) slips.!!(viii)Both docks are floating systems with no
piers or pilings for location/anchoring. The dock supplier must design
and engineer the winch/anchor systems to allow for seasonal movement
of the dock, 500ft horizontally and 60ft vertically.!!(ix) Solicitation
packages with specifications and drawings will be made available by
request on March 15, 1999; they must be received in this office by
April 15, 1999; Award is expected to be made by April 20, 1999.!!
(x)Expected delivery and launch date is May 26, 1999.!! (xi)Government
estimated range is $125,000 to $175,000, delivered and assembled at
