This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitaiton will not be issued. Request for Quote Number DAAHG13-99-T-0111 applies to this acquisition. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3541 with a small business size standard of 500. This is a unrestricted acquisition (full and open competition). Line item 0001 has a quantity of one (1) each for a Contour Band Saw machine.This description covers the minimum requirements for procurement of a Contour Band Saw. The machine shall be new and one of the manufacturer's current models. The equipment supplied shall conform to the minimum requirements as specified herein: General Requirements: machine shall be constructed of steel and arc-welded, Throat, Band Column shall be 25 3/4", Maximum work height 13", Band width capacity 1", Saw band length 186", Variable band speed 55 to 10,000 FPM, Table 32" x 41", four T-slots 1/2", Table travel 16", Hydraulic table feed 0 to 8 FPM, Upper wheel adjustment, Wheels with flange metal face, Automatic hydraulic brakes, Coolant capacity 10 gallons, Due to the limited space avaiable in the shop the floor area should be approx. 94" X 74". Electrical Equpment: shall conform to standard of NEC, including N.E.M.A., 12 enclosure with door-interlocked fusible dosconnect switch, containing transformer with line voltage primary, 120v fused secondard, magnetic starter for drive motor and overload relay for coolant motor required, terminal strips and hardware, pushbutton station with oil tight push buttons, and selector switch drive motor, 10 hp, 1800 RPM, TEFC 3.2 Voltages: 230/460 60 Hz, 3 Phase, Standard Equipment: one set of heavy-duty saw guide blocks with carbide faced backup for 1" bands, one set of 1" carbide-faced inserts, one set of high speed roller guides, max work height cap 12-3/4", job selector, band speed indicator reading in FPM, heavy duty thre speed transmission, variable drive, DBW-15 welder for carbon and saw band 1/16-1: to include shear and grinder, wheel brush assembly, coolant pump, coolant trough, air compressor and coolant atomizer, chip conveyor, hydraulic table tilt, hydraulic bend tension control,hydraulic speed change control,hydraulic guide post adjustment, two adjustable work lamps, universal calibrated work fixture, spark guard, anti-wear hydraulic oil, transmission oil, wrench for insert and rollers guides, standard commercial warranty, required technical data: maintenance manual, operating manual, parts list, and wiring diagrams.
